What Did You Do Today?

Anything interesting? Did you just have a regular day? Did something particularly odd, or neat happen? Tell us about it!

Today (after school) I went fishing with my dad, then went to my friend's house and we went down to the creek and did a few rockets (not model rockets, Black Cat brand rockets!). After that I went to starbucks with my brother and my other friend.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Hmm

Woke up
Fell out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up
I noticed I was late.

Yesterday, (the 11th) I had a Dr. appointment with the ophthalmologist following intraocular lens implant. I can see again! It's a miracle!

Is that procedure where they can implant a lens under the cornea? It's replaceable down the road if neccessary? I'd like to know more about that if it is..

Any surgical proceedure is risky.

As for me:

Woke up. Feeling rather ok today. Might even grit me teeth and go to work if my temperature doesn't go too high...

On the other hand, there's a bitchload of snow to be shovelled again

Yep, that's it. I had a cataract, so my 'original equiptment" lens was removed and replaced with a custom lens.

Father had both his eyes replaced last year. He's been wearing glasses since he was 5 years old (his final power was a -10 and a -10.5). Once he went through the operation, he was able to see without his thick glassess for the first time in his life.

I can't put in words the ecstacy that he felt Like he'd been given a fresh start on life

I've been having fever 102~104 degrees F since Tuesday. It's some kind of blasted viral infection.

Strat :: Enjoying the world anew with them "new" eyes eh?

That's exactly how I feel.

I'm having my left eye done on March 3. It was not nearly so bad as my right eye, but that will put me back at 20-20.

BTW, I don't have diabetes. The Doc said I was "too young" to be having a problem like this. He thinks it's genetic.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Lars :: That's about 39-40 degrees Celcius.

Here's a handy link :: http://www.robertpughphotography.bti....uk/res_03.htm

Strat :: It's always a good thing to NOT have diabetes. Far too many people are ignoring how lethal that disease is simply because they believe treatment is available for it!
