Re: What Did You Do Today?

They are slowly furnishing my new house. Along with the Salvation Army.

I went back to school for the first time since I got out of them effin' hospital. And it still sucks. Different day, same old shit.
Oh, and I called my bf and complained for half an hour about how it was snowing when I woke up. Poor guy.

I provided exemplary training and imparted extraordinary knowledge upon a group of new hires, most of which will quit in six weeks or less, the rest of whom are a bunch of unmotivated slackers. In other words I wasted a day on the company dollar, and I want that 8 hours of my life back...

I have to do that at least once a week. Except my trainees are 16 years old kids who most of the time don't give a damn about what I'm explaining to them and end up doing absolutely nothing I told them to and then I have to do the work myself. Joy.

In a belated nod to Earth Week, I've modified my carbon footprint by buying one of these.

But I was under the impression that wifey said you couldn't have a 300C; let's face it, it's basically the same car.

Oh, btw, I hate you very much.

Did absolutely nothing, which makes me think that maybe life isn't so bad after all.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Didn't do a vast amount- took my lady to the nearby industrial estate to get a bit of pre-CBT practice on her Vespa, ate ice cream and watched the Family Guy/Star Wars amalgamation that is Blue Harvest.

A Vespa!! What type? Has she seen Quadrophenia? We are the mods, we are the mods, we are, we are, we are the mods! Get her a parka and a copy of Live at Leeds. Essential for all mods.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

After visiting the cinema I returned home and had lunch. Despite protestations from Mrs E ( "cholesterol my arse", I replied) a very large melted cheese sandwich was scoffed. Healthy eating be buggered! I like cheese! Anyroads i have recently taken delivery of a box set of DVDs ( 18 DVD set) of Boris Karloff's Thriller series which was first aired in 1961 -62. Over the last few weeks I have been closeted in my study ( my fortress of solitude) working my way through the DVD set. Up to disc 9 so far. I should add that Mrs E has taken a liking to a programme called Celebrity Dancing ( or some such nonsense) which never seems to be off the screen. Seems to involve male ( dressed like a waiter) and female (dressed up like a tart) gyrating around like idiots. Hence the reason I spend so much time out of the way. Ok Boris let's go......

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Tried to get into all the spicy details about Fundamental Electronic Circuits, with mostly dissapointing results. Had a few drinks, then obviously decided to screw it altogether.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I finally recieved my Ramones shower curtain amd DSoTM coffee mug in the mail. Now I have to pack them in the "bathroom" and "kitchen" boxes (I like shopping for appartment stuff but damn I hate having to wait 2 months to use the things I buy.)

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Saw my eldest grandson off to start boot camp with the USMC at Camp Pendleton. At 17, he's 6' - 2" and looks like an adult, but I wish he would have waited a couple of years.
