Well, here's my list: 2-1966/67 2-1969 7-1970 6-1971 11-1972 4-1973 3-1974 5-1975 6-1977 1-1978 (Wall demos) 3-1980 2-1981 2-1987 2-1988 4-1994 I also have Roio boxsets which span over some of FLoyds many years. Such as: Total Eclipse (4cd) Ultra Rare Trax (vol 1-3) From Underground to the Moon (3cd) Roger Waters: 1-1984 2-1987 1-1999 1-2000 David Gilmour: 1-2001 Syd Barrett: 1-1966-70("Magnesium Proverbs") I think that covers them all. I didn't list if they were single or double cd. I can tell you that most of mine are double. I usually order a few (like 5) every other month. I've been looking at "Animals Overdrive-5/1/77". Has anyone heard it yet? I've been told they fixed the "speed" problem and is now "the" best 77 show out there.

You can all see my list at: http://www.wpi.edu/~imcbride/tradelist.html although it hasn't been updated in a while... hmm something to do. Also on the subject of where to find these things, I would respectfully advise you not to use ebay. I have done that in the past and gotten some faulty disks and most of what you get are CDRs anyhow. I don't like paying $25+ for a CDR. Getting LPs on ebay is fairly reliable tho. Better alternatives are places like http://www.furthurmore.com You can download RoIO's there in SHN format, which is lossless WAV compression. You might also try weeding, which is a distribution method for RoIO's. See http://weedfaq.cjb.net/ for more info on weeding. As far as where to find weeds, join the Echoes mailing list at http://www.meddle.org Most of the new weeds are found there, or the Yahoo group PinkFloydRoIO. The forums section of http://www.celestialvoices.net has many weed offers as does the mailing list at http://www.atreefullofsecrets.com/ You can find all the information you want on most of the RoIOs at http://www.pf-roio.de and http://floydart.cjb.net has all of the artwork for these disks. These sites haven't been updated in a while however. Also, if you know a floyd fan you can set up a trade with them. Most floyd fans have a trade list online, like mine above. You don't even need to own any RoIOs to do a trade. Just ask a fan really nice and offer to send them two times the blank CDRs that they'll need to copy it, or just the blanks they'll need and postage (refered to most of the time as 2:1 and B&P respectfully) and mention that you're new to this and they'll usually help you out. If you just want MP3 versions of RoIOs, search on google for pink floyd mp3 and you'll find 'em. Be sure never to pass off MP3's as an actual RoIO, or you will incur the wrath of every collector. As a last resort, join the http://www.etree.org mailing list. The servers on this list only occasionally offer pink floyd material, but if you're a fan of bands like Phish, Grateful Dead or any other band that allows taping of their shows, you're sure to find it there. Good luck and happy collecting.

I've got a guy I found on Yahoo Auctions that I get all of mine from. I have to rip them all into wav. to burn them onto cdr's. I don't have a "normal' cd burner. I have yet to hear someone complain about the quality of them being wav. I don't hear ANY difference at all. All of my RoIO's have been put into mp3 so I can rip them into wav. to burn for people. I've even got all the original jewel case inserts artwork (for front and back). But sadly my printer isn't the best. I'm still working on that one. I've thought about trading or selling them (for a realistic price since they would be CDR's) but I'm not sure how the majority of Floydians feel about that? Or if I can find the time. You can ask anyone who is an avid collector of these unofficial gems however, and they will tell you just how hard it is to find an "original". And if you do, you'll pay extremely high prices. So in my opinion, getting CDR'S of originals is the way to go anymore. Even if it is wav. or mp3. You can always burn them to play in your truck or home stereo. And like I said, you really can't hear the difference. But that's just my opinion. I've paid the high prices before. Not anymore. And I'm just tickled Pink about it!

floydboy, having a sound recording in WAV format doesn't change it at all from what is on the CD. WAV conveys the same amount on information as does the playing a CD and will actually sound better playing on your computer than will a CD playing on a stand alone CD player since the CDROM drive of your computer is able to read data more precisely. However, MP3 format chops off about 25% of the data each time it is encoded into MP3. This data comes from the high and low frequencies of sound, which gives the recording a 'tinny' sound. If you change a WAV to MP3 then back to WAV then back to MP3 again, you've effectively lost 44% of the original sound. This is bad. Although you get excellent compression using MP3 (something on the scale of 1/12th the original size) the compression scheme is lossy, and losing sound quality doesn't help when the majority of RoIOs are not high quality to begin with. A better alternative is the SHN format which compresses to 1/2 the original size of the WAV file, but loses none of the sound quality of the original. This usually means that you can give somebody a 2CD show on a single CDR. It's also especially good for transferring files over the internet. Please be certain to mention to anybody that you trade with and especially anybody that you sell to, if the files that you are giving them have ever been in the past an MP3 file. riggatwat, for better sound quality look into radio broadcasts. Some of the best are the recent Complete Concertgebouw and Harvested's Meddled. Many of the other Harvested releases are of excellent sound quality as well.
