Yeah, not many things as funny as some guy hit by a truck bleeding on a gurney.

I'm looking forward to the final Sopranos season. I want to see what happens to Tony & the boys.

Curb Your Enthusiam is funny. Even though Larry David is an asshole. Maybe that's why it's funny. Hmmmm.

I think humourous/funny was the wrong word to use.

You must understand - I see this everyday. Hell I spend two days a week in the OR/ER myself.

Re: Favorite TV Shows (o)(o)

yeah E.R. has some funny situations
and that Distraction show that Davros mentioned is funny but not nearly as funny here as it is over in England, here it's way to *edited* and polite.

Is Distraction even legal? They must sign wavers or something, but in the situation, you could really die.

Re: Favorite TV Shows (o)(o)

haha i wouldnt be suprised. My favorite episode i saw when i was in London on vacation and at the end they put all of the money he could win inside toasters and turned them on. The contestant had to answer all of the questions before his money burst into flames, he actually saved most of it but it was funny as hell.
and on one they put cacti around the buzzers and then ask really simple questions (i.e. What color is the sky) and all of them would try to go really fast and get a handful of thorns. great show.

Pure Genius.
I saw one when they were being beaten up by wrestlers as they answer questions. In the end, don't they slowly destroy their winnings. like blowing it up or something? That's great.

Re: Favorite TV Shows (o)(o)

ER as a show is good, no doubt about it. Pretty gritty, griping account of medical life - often shows the personal side of being a healthcare professional - somthing that tends to be ignored because people expect professionals to be robots who don't feel stress, fatigue, heartache or pain and frustration.

But some things that get done on screen give me major creeps sometimes (wrong/incorrect ptroceedures) and othertimes outright funny-kicks (nurses with long, polished nails? HELLLO? I wonder how they do ballotment! Or the manner in which they palpate lymph nodes etc.)

I guess I look at ER the way many veterans might see war movies.
