What do you think are the greatest instrumentals ever (as many, in no particular oder)?

5. "Ein Klein Nacht Muzak" (A Little Night Music) by Mozart

4. "A Saucerful of Secrets"

3. "Son of Alerik" by Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple)

2. "Dee" by Randy Rhoades

1. "Concerto For Two Violins in D Minor" by Bach

La Villa Strangiato By Rush by far, a real masterpiece in instrumentation.

Somehow I knew GeddyJunior would choose that one. Here's some of my favourites:

-"Ogden's Nut Gone Flake" Small Faces
-"Wring That Neck" Deep Purple
-"And The Address" Deep Purple
Above are nothing great, but lots of emotion IMO
-"April" Deep Purple
-"The Barbarian" ELP
-Numerous pieces by King Crimson

As far as albums go, I'd go with Rick Wakeman's "The Six Wives of Henry VIII"

Beethoven's 9th isn't an instrumental.

The Great Gig in he sky is Not an Instrumental.

and How about symphonies 35-41 by Mozart, and the 4 Seasons By Vivaldi?

Or maybe "Summertime", if we go to the
Jazz n'Blues Section?

And Don't Forget "Atom Heart Mother Suite"!
