The boundaries of music have and always will be expanded by creative minds. 'It will all be rap'? Ridiculous. And even if it is, there are many talented hip-hop artists out there...open your mind. Musicians have never lacked creativity in the past and music has been a part of our world since man's early existence. This will remain the same. Music will continue to the be the most powerful, artistic, and unifying force in the world. If you make the statement that all the ideas have been taken, then you should apply this to literature and art...haven't all of those ideas been taken? Won't those parts of society cease to exist? Ridiculous. Last edited by MightyMosDurf74; 02-20-2005 at 03:25 PM.

things looked pretty grim a while back, but there are several young and budding artists (actual bands, I mean) that are very promising.

There are about 437 threads about this. Music will be different, and good. Everything will be the same as it is now, but new names on the bands or something like that. Can you people stop bitching about the radio and just go to the record store and buy some actual CDs!?!?

I have wondered what classic rock will be in 20 or 30 years. If it will still be the same stuff? Or if the rock coming out today will be classic?

Classic rock will be considered what we consider stuff like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby etc. etc.

Well, not too long ago 80s rock was declared as "classic rock". So who knows... ...and who cares?
