Pink Floyd played their opening night show at the Nassau Coliseum (5 nights) and I WAS THERE!

One of the best experiences and I'm sooo glad my friend and i had the balls to "borrow" my stepmom's car and drive 11 hours to New York with no tix, no idea where the shows would be and no clue to the devoted Floyd fans from all over the world!

The parking lot was filled with license plates from all over the country and tix were going for 350-500 dollars a piece. seeing how we could afford $150.00 for 2 tix it wasn't looking good. As we headed for our hotel room to try again the next day a car in line for the parking lot happened to have 2 tix for sale. i didn't even hesitate and gave him $150.00. he thought it was great as the original price was $15.00 per tix but had he made it into the parking area he could have gotten 800-1000 dollars!

made it to our seat with 10 minutes to spare and was then blown away for the next 2 hours!

drove back to detroit the next morning (freeway closed due to a blizzard) and was back in school the following morning wearing our concert shirts and being the envy of the school!

just had to relive the moment, which i've done thousands of times in my head

Shine On, jim

That's an awesome experience. There aren't too many good bands I want to hear in concert today. If only I could go back in time to experience the 70's...
