A Little Big Poem

“Rambling Imagination”

This conundrum of a cacophony of wails
continues in the caverns of my cranium.
Within my synapses, silent shudders
spiral around my spinal column.
Settling to my stomach, shivers send
me staggering, muttering to myself
about tomorrow.
Will tomorrow be here before today ends?
Dinged doors, dingy and defiled
though they are, on rusted hinges hiss
open, for opportunity only I can
deduct lies beyond.
Will this favored path fall away?
Crusty interiors, tacky exteriors,
it seems this mad world of
Mannequins wishes to change me,
metaphorically or not, into one
of the same.
“I will go,” rambles the recesses
of my intelligence, like a raven
dare I quoth “nevermore.”
Staying steadfast, bolted to
the spot, I stand my
ground and hold my own.
Am I Alone?
Shadows whisper their
way, writhing in their joyful
dark entities.
I am not Alone.
Scaring the world with
abstract thinking, lucid ideas
never concrete, liquid motions
jerkily sending me forward,
hydraulics of my limbs
force me on.
Is something waiting at the end?
It may not be far for me, but
for sure, at the far
shore, foreigners lay still
choosing the moment to be born
to my eyes with precision.
Fantastically phantasmal ferocities
bear pearls at me, pointed with
precision of a writer’s pen.
Not to rend nor tear, but
lips curved in cautious
smiles, my imagination
catches up to me.
Yet, lo, my daydreams must end,
and my memories, like ink,
fade in the rain of reality.

Rambling? Yes.
Imaginative? Sure.
Interesting, in a repetitive sort of way.

I think the meaning of this poem is that he is depressed about something. But it's very good. Nice work.
