Re: PETITION FOR PF TO TOUR OR RECORD

Okay, we got 9 people and the "admirable" Radiochair is thinking about it. I appreciate all this but we need MORE, MORE, MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRE! Pardon me. Speaking of "More," I also propose the band perform some stuff from that album, even if it's "Cymbaline."

We should also demand that they play 'A Saucer Full Of Secrets' and 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene' live.

And make sure Dave does the GOOD vocals on S.O.S., not the album "ooooohhhhh's." DANCE, PINK FLOYD PUPPETS, DANCE!

Re: PETITION FOR PF TO TOUR OR RECORD

what i really want to see is good ol' pink floyd do 'Seamus' or 'Mademoiselle Nobs' like in pompeii. with that dog singing to daves harmonica. HA! now thats true art rock.

how come my dog doesnt hold a melody like that? that really stays in key. genius!

Re: PETITION FOR PF TO TOUR OR RECORD

Bad.

Do you really want a "forced" album. Then again based on TDB, do you even want a new album. Period.

Re: PETITION FOR PF TO TOUR OR RECORD

You're right,

35 Years Pink Floyd and then went off silencely, without "thank you" to the millions of fans, is not how you handle with all those people.

So Dave, Nick and Rick (perhaps also Roger), please say goodbye with a last big show.

Re: PETITION FOR PF TO TOUR OR RECORD

A farewell tour would be great. (I'm reminded of the Who's 'Farewell Tour' I saw in Phoenix in 1983...and they're touring again this summer...)

Another album would be great (I understand that Gilmour has quite a bit of new stuff in his computer). I personally like (parts) of TDB - it was much more of a 'team effort' (writing and playing) than the boys had done for quite some time (even when Roger was still around). There is something special about David and Rick writing together...

Anyway - good luck on the petition. Somehow, I don't think they'll be swayed by us, but it makes us feel better, right?

Re: PETITION FOR PF TO TOUR OR RECORD

So...it was this thread that was behind the Live 8 reunion! I knew the APFFN had real power!
