Re: Greenday Album

Green Day is shite. Not because it's modern, not because it's punk (though punk is lame excuse for music), but because they suck. That's all there is to it.

I'm surprised at how many people are saying they don't like it. It's a long departure from their other albums as this album has a lot of depth and MUCH MORE MUSICIANSHIP than any other Green Day album. It's a phenomenal album, although a couple of the Singles are being severely overplayed here in the States.

ya like boulevard of broken dreams. Its on everytime i put on the radio. Im sick of it.

Sure blew all the overblown prog rock bands out of the water in the late 70s though.

Yes, because that's the ONLY song on the album!!

American Idiot was by far the best Rock album of last year. I was amazed when I heard it. They are doing things that nobody ever dreamed of doing. How can you listen to Jesus of Suburbia or Homecoming and say that they are killing music? The only weak songs on this album are American Idiot, Are We The Waiting, and Wake Me When September Ends, but the 10 minute long Punk epics outweigh the 3 minute long filler songs. This album is brilliant.

I went with Homecoming...I really like the Time Changes and transisitions they pull off as they go through each part of that "epic"...kinda reminds me of old Rush or Yes

I think they're new album is a classic, but probably not album of the year which I think goes to either SFA or Elbow.Or BRMC.

Green Day is not punk...in their really early days sure, they were punk, but they haven't been punk for quite some time....
