Re: What was your first car...?...

'64 Pontiac GTO. It was the forerunner of the "muscle car" era, with a big 389 cube V8 in a lightweight chassis. Very fast.

My favorite memories of it are cruising around with friends on a summer night, listening to tunes on the radio, grabbing a burger and milkshake at the White Spot drive-in, and of course, street racing.

Probably the only car I really loved. I've had faster, nicer, more beautiful cars since, but I've never replicated the thrill of that one.
I had to sell it when I got drafted, which was much harder to deal with than saying goodbye to my girlfriend.

Re: What was your first car...?...

I have never owned a car, but I had a chance to learn how to drive when I was 14 in my grandfather`s car.

Here it is:

(it`s so old, almost a classic, the picture is found somwhere on the web, the real car was orange)

Re: What was your first car...?...

It was a 91 white Mercury Topaz. It met with its demise one sunny day on the way from Boston when it overheated. Great big piece of shit it was.

Beautiful teal blue '77 Chevy Camaro Coupé with a gutless straight-six engine. Lovely on the outside, a pretty pig on the inside. Spent the first biggest wad of cash ever getting a new set of tires for the beast.

I didn't know Rob owned a car before his shit-brown Monza with which I was allowed to learn the workings of a stick-shift, thanks Rob. The Plymouth is much sweeter.

Not a car person at all.

Very basic. Very light. 2-stroke. 0-60 in about 4 seconds flat. Very tight handling. My very first. Still is one of my dream bikes.

I'd still LOVE to own a Bullet ::

Yes, the Plymouth is nicer. It did not last long; a 383 Roadrunner combined with teen wisdom is a poor combination. It was replaced by a '59 VW - of which I think there are still pieces in my folk's garage.

The Monza was actually my third car, had a 231 V6, the abovementioned four-speed, and weighed a third less than that crap Camaro you were stuck with. The only way you ever kept up was when I let you.

I'd love to get a hold of a "Judge"....they're pretty hot. As is the car you talk about.

My first car was/is a 1923 Ford Model T Touring car. I think I've mentioned it before. Almost on the road, just a little more bodywork and it will be as good as new.

Re: What was your first car...?...

This is my first motor, my old man bought it for me for £100 to learn to drive in, it was pretty clapped out when I got it and even more so when it finally went to the great car park in the sky.
