Re: Who wants a truce?

Here's the point : You are not the first troll we've had here. And you certainly won't be the last.

What makes you think you and your bunch are any better or worse than the lot we've had before?

And if by "flowers and chocolates" you mean being obnoxious and obscene, well...

Like DT said, "I just can't see taking self-improvement advice from my neighborhood tagger."

Say DT : How's the weather there anyways? It's getting kinda cold here now... bloody irritating working morning shifts at Sister's Hospital....

Yes. You are right. We should be ashamed for bringing this upon ourselves.

Now who's being the martyr.

That's not what I'm saying. Here, let me add another thing for you to miss entirely:

What happened is not entirely your fault. The blame lies mostly with us. HOWEVER: if might be useful to consider what actions or attitudes taken by people here made it terribly attractive for our admittedly screwy actions to continue.

Stop being so damn stubborn and consider the other side for one moment.

Warm, pleasant. Cloudy this afternoon, rained like hell an hour after dark.

All in all, not too bad.

When did i ever say that we were better than any other lot.

It's like talking to an 8 year old.

Did you just admit you were in the wrong? Amazing.

I honestly, really, truthfully can't wait for Spring to actually show up here.

Yes, I know that we just had "Spring Break" last week

I'm getting tired of this erratic weather - does more than just upset plans....

Right. That's like saying "Oh, she was dressed like a skank, she was asking to be raped." Sorry, but no matter what she's dressed like, she doesn't deserved to be raped.

Re: Who wants a truce?

Well, it was sunny and mid-70's last week. I think, since T-wife's spring break is this week, it will be raining most of the week.

Vote Rob for mod - he can foretell the future.

Now, here's Monkeyboy in his very own words, in the fateful post that started all this:

Since (some) people around here seem to think that TW has become stale, I've been thinking about why this might be. As I've said before, I think that the big reason why the entertainment value has slipped a little bit -- and it has, even if only a small abount -- is because of the lack of fresh faces, new blood, whatever you want to call it. The registration issue remains but there is now a way around it. For whatever reason, though, there just aren't that many new people to, let's face it, **** with.

So I propose a crusade. A glorious crusade, at that. Imagine if all of us more "fun" posters gathered together and bombarded another message board with our tastiness. Think of the possibilities, they are endless. Then all the whining babys around here can go and check in on our progress. It's a win-win situation. We (the fun people) get to go play together in someone else's sandbox while the boring people get the joy of watching it all unfurl. The real trick is finding a board with enough people and that we wouldn't be too out of place at. Fun as it would be, I don't see us lasting too long at the Sally Struthers or Dionne Warwick boards. I'll be looking for something good but until then who's with me?

Yeah, he's enlightening us. Because he's bored.

And one near to my heart, being a 44 year old engineer:

I was thinking that Pink Floyd might be fun, too. Filled with teenagers who think they discovered something and old, saggy-assed former druggies talking about how great it was before HIV and they got a degree in Engineering.

And our friend pablopicasso, giving the lie to Monkeyboy's statement that there wasn't a plan:

Hm.
