There are other small errors, like him referring to the "CNN Tower" in Toronto

Still, an excellent book!

Indeed.

One other small error: Nick called Syd's old ride a Buick, whereas it's really a 1959 Pontiac.

But I wouldn't expect Nick to be knowledgeable about Detroit iron.

Re: Should I buy -Inside Out-?

Now it seems the question has become not "should I buy it?" but "which version should I buy?" There is of course the much-esteemed and widely-available first edition, which has been translated into numerous languages. Yet Nick has announced plans for abridged editions in both paperback and audiobook (to be read by the author), both with exclusive updated content. There is also this extremely expensive and limited edition with a ludicrously-endowed embarrassment of extra-textual riches for the discerning Floydian completist... extending to, of all things, your very own one-of-a-kind Polaroid photograph of Nick!!

I wonder what it feels like to have someone take 500 Polaroids of you.

I wonder if Nick came up with 500 different striking poses for each picture.

Re: Should I buy -Inside Out-?

Yes, by all means, everyone should get this book. I got the hardcover via Amazon UK the instant it was released, have an autographed copy of the US oversize paperback, and I'll get the audiobook version, which will be read by Nick. Nick's sense of humour is what sticks out about this book, along with many rare photographs- speaking of which:

[quote=stratman]

Coincidently, the first thing I looked at had an error. (page 212) Nick referred to the Pittsburgh Pro Football team name as the "Pirates", whereas the name is actually the "Steelers". (Although "Pirates" WAS a name used for the old AAFL team back in the 1930's, as well as the name of the baseball team, of course). I'll not hold that against him.

QUOTE]

By the way- in case anyone was wondering, I can identify the two players shown with Nick on page 212, who were indeed members of the Pittsburgh Steelers. One is Gerry Mullins, who played offensive guard for all 4 Steelers Super Bowl teams, and the other is Dave Reavis, who played for the first 2 Steelers Super Bowl teams and later was an original Tampa Bay Buccaneer.

and on page 33
Quote:
"...throughout autumn.....played with the name TeaSet....at RAF base...Syd produced, with little further ado;the name Pink Floyd Sound

Now I am confused;as Nick doesnt say that syd was with them for the melody maker contest;and if they were then TeaSet howcome their poster was named Pink Flyod?

Do you know if it has been translated into Spanish? Of course I could read it in English but it doesn't seem to be too available round here (or perhaps I will just have to look for it harder).
