What does it mean?

Ok people, this may be asked and answered before but i've looked and i haven't found anything so, here it goes:

What does "riding the gravy train" means? Same with "the steel breeze"

This may be obvious to british and american people (is it some kind of slang?) so i would really appreciate an answer.

Thank you

There's an interview somewhere (can't find it at the moment) where Roger explains that the "steel breeze" represented the combined forces of fame and money, moving Syd into places he didn't want to go and slicing him up, or damaging his psyche, in the process.

So stardom is a double-edged sword: it can be a "gravy train," or something more sinister.

I think I will use that phrase regularly now.

Cool!
