Re: Best song on DB

Hard to say a favourite, I find most of the album difficult to listen to these days, and it rarely find itself in the disc-tray.

Based entirely on the strat-pack DVD (which gets a regular airing on my system) I would have to say Marooned is my favourite. A blistering piece of guitar playing, and a performance I will never get tired of watching.

Re: Best song on DB

I decided to listen to Marooned to remind myself if it was actually any good and found that some time in the past I'd loaded this pic as the collective album art on iTunes.

What a coincidence!

Re: Best song on DB

That brief snippet of it on Echoes beats the album version, IMO... works very nicely as a bridge between "Hey You" and "Great Gig". The song has no identifiable purpose otherwise.

Other than a great backdrop for Dave to unleash some fantastic guitar playing.

The Strat-pack performance far outweighs the album version.

Marooned, Wearing the Inside Out, and Keep Talking, are my personal favorites.

Rick really sings this song? When I read the song-writing credits for the Division Bell I noticed that he hadn't written the lyrics. But he really sings it?

Re: Best song on DB

He and Dave take turns singing lead on it, but Anthony Moore wrote the lyrics.

Which part does Dave sing (on the studio version)? I thought all the lead vocals were Rick's.

He's paler somehow

Well he can have the words right from my mouth"

The girls also sing the other "He" parts.

Re: Best song on DB

Wearing the Inside Out and Marooned are horrible. Keep Talking can get annoying after you've heard it on AOR radio for several years in a row. The rest of the album is pretty damn good.

(Can you tell I can't decide on a favorite?)
