| Saddest Song What is the song that makes you feel the saddest? Doesn't have to be a Floyd composition. I'd go with Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton...after reading what the lyrics were about, this song has always made me feel sad after I heard it. |

| Re: Saddest Song Picking just one would be incredibly hard for me, actually. 'Tears in Heaven' is up there, also this one country song called 'Don't Take the Girl' (don't remember who it's by) counts as one the most depressing songs I've ever heard. Also '1979' by the Smashing Pumpkins.... I can't think of many right now. |

| Re: Saddest Song How about "Teen Angel" --Mark Dinning (I think Fulghurs will back me on that one.) Seriously, Dust In The Wind always makes me feel melancholy.

Yeah, that one hits really close to home for me...it's brought tears to my eyes before. Other ones: -All of Gabriel's "Up" -Genesis's "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway" (all of it) -Radiohead's "Fade Out (Street Spirit)" -Porcupine Tree's "Stop Swimming" -Floyd's "Marooned" & "Is Anybody Out There?" This is a DDT of another thread I posted a while ago...but I don't really care.

| Re: Saddest Song One of my turns is the man! Stop Swimming by PT is DEFINITELY very sad to me... also Adagio For Strings - Samuel Barber The entire album "Razorblade Romance" -- HIM Feel So Low -- Porcupine Tree Exit Music (For A Film) -- Radiohead (btw I heard this song is about Romeo and Juliet, is that true?)

| Re: Saddest Song 'Exit Music' was written for the newer (1996) version of Romeo and Juliet, with Leonardo DeCaprio. It plays over the credits, fittingly. |

| Re: Saddest Song I've no idea if it's on the soundtrack to the film.... I wouldn't be surprised if it were. And they also use a version of 'Talk Show Host' in the film too, and that was exclusively on the soundtrack. |

| Re: Saddest Song Quote:
Well, just about every Floyd song is a sad one to my ears. I'd also have to say: Bob Dylan -- One More Cup Of Coffee Kansas -- Dust In The Wind Quite a few Neil Young songs are sad, and the Beatles tend to get me down.

Yes. I thought of "Sugar Mountain" when I saw that.
