Syd Barrett X-Files

to anyone who cares they just showed the greatest episode of X-Files ever. well that i've ever seen which is not much. the main character was a kid who was really into syd barrett. he always wore this syd shirt and he had posters all over his room of syd barrett. there were even two songs played. "its no good trying" and "terrapin"
it was pretty cool.

Don't suppose you caught the episode number which would normally appear near the end of the end credits, did you?

Darn! Not really an X-files fan, but I DO hate missing those PF bits whenever, wherever they appear. :sad:

sorry BoaB but no number. eugenesaxe i was reading a similar post to this and the guy said the song was Love You instead of Terrapin like i said. doesn't Terrapin start off "I Really Love You and I Mean You" cause that is the song they were playing and i'm pretty sure it was terrapin.

no it was definitely syd. maybe the person was mistaken.

the episode itself sucked, imo. Why do Syd-fans have to be mutant-freaks? Why can't they be Michael Jackson fans, it makes more sense

Thats funny. I thought the episode was cool, even if it was a little cheesy but at least it wasnt as heavy as the rest of them.

I wish I could have seen that.

Can we have some info on what channel this was shown on, and what network? I stopped watching the x-files after the first few series since it went so badly downhill.

The problem for me is that the Syd fan was the evil bad guy. Barrett was used as an example of how screwed up the kid was. I don't like the show anyway.

Thanks for the info about that episode. We're only just getting the final series here in Australia, and I'll have to wait another 4 weeks before I get to see the "Lord of the Flies" episode.
