A good graphic improvement and I've noticed less annoying ads, except at the opening page for the first time, that succeeds to skip my blocks.

Bravo, Paulo!

Re: Big changes! Forum software upgrade and new moderators

goes to show how threatened we really are by change.

a.) Thank you for all of your hard work, Paulo. The new format looks and works great. Don't mind the naysayers.

b.) Congrats to all of the new mods who were rightly elected, fair and square, by the majority. To all of you who lost, better luck next time.

That's why it wasn't an American election, simply.

Re: Big changes! Forum software upgrade and new moderators

I like the new look. It's just different..give it time. You'll like it.

I'm getting the "server is too busy" message a whole lot. I'm assuming that that's not really on your end though...I guess you guys are just getting a lot of traffic. Is that correct?

Yep, seems we are outgrowing our current server, after only about 8 months here. I spent the past 8 hours optimizing the server to reduce the frequency of those messages. It got better, but it's still far from ideal.

I've been looking into getting a dedicated server, which should be able to handle all of our server load. The problem is that they cost about 3x more than the current one.

We'll see what happens.

Uh... That's only for moderators, Deranged. Contributing members can have up to 150 messages, and regular registered users, 70.

Re: Big changes! Forum software upgrade and new moderators

Ooh my apologies then mate. I'm still getting used to this mod thing. And I remember seeing I could only have 70 PM's while I was already mod. The name's Lars BTW
