How to check for new posts since your last visit

For registered users only:

To check for new posts since your last visit, access "Quick Links", in the toolbar, and then "New Posts".

I think you can just press "New Posts" down the row from the quick links button.

No , I meant that you don't have to go under quick links to go to the new posts.
New Posts has it's own button on the top.

I've noticed, that the edit button, appears only in the last post made. Is that a final decision?

We activated a feature where users may only edit their posts for a certain period of time after posting. It was set to one our, I have now increased it to six hours. More than that, and it's a great potential for abuse.

Basically, we are preparing ourselves for reopening APFFN for registrations and for a possible flood of trolls.

I'm more than ready for it

My apologies is this has been asked already, but is anyone else having problems searching for new posts? For about the past two weeks whenever I click on the new posts button all I get is a 'Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms' message.

I have gotten that, but usually it only happens when you just stay on one page for a long time.

Happens to me all the time. Something else I've just noticed, which may explain the problem, when I logged in just now my last visit time was given as 1.00pm which was correct, but as soon as I checked for new posts my last visit time changed to when I logged in just a couple of minutes ago in which time there haven't been any new posts. Curious.
