The vocals for 'In the flesh' are Geldoff. All the other songs are either Waters or Gilmour as usual. Unless you want to get really technical, in which case Geldoff also sings "stop" before "the trial". On another note: During that scene in the men's room you can here concert noises going on in the background. These are from an actual "Floyd" show (from 'the wall' tour. i think). Anyway, its either "is there anybody out there" or Azimuth Coordinator III if my memory serves me properly. Probably a little more info than you wanted.

I think Bob Geldof's singing sucks, and they should have left Rofer's awsome voice. I do think "In the Flesh" (the second one obviously) was a good idea to make it look as if he was talking and giving a speech, other than singing, although it sounded crappy.

Come on Talking Head. The 'Boomtown Rats'. That's the name of Bob's band. If you really want to get technical. Bob Geldof is lip synching to his own singing on 'In The Flesh'.

I admit I agree with the last poster to this thread...I was VERY disappointed with Mr. Geldof when I started watching The Wall. I really wish they could've found a better singer--but then again, trying to come close to Mr. Waters' distinctive voice is a rather tall order! (I mean that in a good way for Mr. Waters.)

It could have been worse. Instead of Bob Geldof they could have gotten Van Morrison. Imagine him as Pink.

when i first saw the movie i thought "oh shit don't tell me he sings in the whole movie" but thankfully he didn't. and why did they take away the singing part of stop? i like that little part.

Or instead of Van "the man?" Morrison, sticking with the Bobs, Bob Dylan would have been an awful choice as well. What? Never heard of the Boomtown Rats? Shame! I Don't Like Mondays

How about Meatloaf as Pink?

No, Meat (we're on first name terms, ya see) can actually sing so he'd be no good.

I meant more for his look.

Nah, Meat's beat. I think the most appropriate one is St. Michael of Jackson, patron saint of young children as Pink... Could there be anyone more screwed up by pop stardom, and who's still alive, that is? "Pink isn't well, he stayed back at the hotel."
