Squirrels are definately a pain in the ass. You can't keep a bird feeder around without those little bastards raiding it.

As for feral cats, instead of shooting them, they should be caught with humane traps, then put to sleep after it's verified they are not someone's pet.

Ugh, yes. I have a bunch of squirrels living in a tree, in my backyard. No matter what we do, they always find a way to climb up and eat the bird seeds.

darksideofoz, the only reason i said that was because this girl noted god and the bible when saying everything is created equal. you would know that, if you acctually read the post.

Re: The Cat Thread, with possibilities of hunting stories involving cats

Well, while Adam and Eve were given all the vegitation of the Garden of Eden to eat (with the exception of one tree...) in the Creation stories, God gave Noah permission to eat everything else, given that he wouldn't ingest the blood as well.

I had a cat for eighteen years. He was older than I was when he died. Good cat. I miss him, but he was a cat. They're about as aware of themselves as we are when we're asleep. Yes, they're cute and cuddly, but they don't feel "love" in any way that remotely resembles the way we do. Sure, I may be a bit anthropocentric, but they're just animals. And I'm not condoning killing animals senselessly...obviously, the ecosystem has to be maintained.

Re: The Cat Thread, with possibilities of hunting stories involving cats

The last cat I had was named Wooley Bully.

He could hear a can of tuna being opened from 200 yards away.

Unfortunately, when I moved out here, the coyotes ate him.

Re: The Cat Thread, with possibilities of hunting stories involving cats

I think all cats who know and hear the sound of a bag of food or a tuna can being opened could all of a sudden hear quite well.

Wouldn't this thread be better suited to the 'Just Babbling' forum?
