interesting. why no 'saucerful of secrets' or 'meddle', though? id love to have some of that early stuff on vinyl, like 'ummagumma'. do you guys actualy listen to your vinyl or just collect them?

Well, I don't have a stylus at the mo, so I simply look at them. I've got a few originals that I haven't played, and one or fifteen or so that I know exactly how they sound, so I usually stick to my best pressing when I do listen to them. I've got a 180gm copy of DSOTM, the 2nd side of which is an absolute peach. The first side, I usually use a Canadian reissue to listen to. Unfortunately, the MFSL half speed mastered copy came after the tragic breaking of Mr Needle, so I haven't experienced that one yet. I also have a MFSL gold CD, but that got a bastard scratch on it during the intro to "Time". Which is shit. The one good thing about Floyd albums is that even if you can't listen to them, they still look fucking great due to Mr Thorgerson's ministrations.
