| Rather New Pink Floyd Fan Hey, I'm from England and I'm 20 years old. I just started listening to Pink Floyd about a month or so ago, after finally growing tired of listening to emo bands that all seem to sound the same. I've always been a huge fan of Radiohead, and I found a lot of other Radiohead fans recommending that I listen to Pink Floyd - as apparently some of their music is somewhat similar. Now that I've listened to some of their music, I can say that I don't totally agree with them about the similarlity (except for the piano in The Great Gig in the Sky, and the fact that you have to listen to their songs a lot before you start to like them). Anyway, yeah... Pink Floyd are great, and I can't believe I never bothered to check them out before. It's especially refreshing to find them, considering the standard of music at the moment is very poor.  |
