Our own Pink Floyd CD

OK heres the plan:

I would like to put a CD together with covers recorded by us, no matter how unpolished they sound.

Any CD, doesn't matter. Just pick a PF song and record it and post it. I really would like to hear everyone elses versions of PF songs. I would only be able to submit Wish you were here and maybe Time.

So in short we can make our All Pink Floyd Fan Network PF greatest hits or tribute album.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

That sounds like a cool idea. I'll see if my band can muster up a decent Floyd cover and record it somehow.

Thumbs up Re: Our own Pink Floyd CD

No rush!

Whenever they are ready that's fine... I will probably take a couple of days also... I just thought it will be cool to get to know each other through the songs

Don't worry about quality, raw covers are encouraged!

Great idea! Shane G's cover of "A Saucerful of Secrets" is pretty awesome... I'll post it if he doesn't, and try to record one myself as well! I'm thinking "Pigs on the Wing" or "Grantchester Meadows".

Well I think my bandmates or whatever would like to do a song but I don't know how to record it so I can get it onto a computer.

Go ahead and post it if you want, I'd like more people to hear it (hehe). It doesn't really fit into projects that I'm doing, so I doubt it'll get released at all.

Hope you all enjoy it.

Re: Our own Pink Floyd CD

That's a shame Brad, they probably gave you a crap sound card! But you should still try to get some free audio software and record something.

I'd also like to nominate one of Copper Man's covers for this project.

Shane! Dude! Did you get the CDs I sent you?

I listened to Echoes...the vocals ruined it but the music was excellent.

I might be able to whip something together in a while, we'll have to see how much this crappy sound card is up to.
