Are You Happy?

Is this where you hoped you'd be in your life? What's about you is different than how you expected yourself to be at this point in life? Are you happy with it?

I can honestly say that if you told me 10 years ago that I'd be obsessed with music and guitar and be in a rock band, I'd say you were crazy! I used to want to be a baseball player...I mean of course kids go through crazy phases but I was really serious about baseball. I freaking hate baseball now...

It's amazing how much we change into things that we used to hate, or just never imaged we would be.

Just wishing I had a Jag XJ-R...

I don't think im quite old enough to think if im in the right place (only 14).
But I have definately changed in the past year, a lot, I listen to and play way more music then a year ago.
And I am also in a band.
My hair has also grown. ha.

To answer the general question, 'are you happy?' I'd say no, not really, but I still have alot of life to live.

Hmm...

When I was 7 or so, I wanted to be a doctor, so right now, I'd be in pre-med or something.
When I was 12, I decided I wanted to be the next Donna Karan. Obviously, I'd be studying design right now.
Before my parents moved, I had plan of going to Drexel or Dusquene, but now I'm going to Fairmont State.
But I'm still happy with how I'm moving along in the career/education department.

My ex had once asked me to marry him after college. I suppose had I not broken up with him, we'd be engaged and probably living together. But I'm still pretty happy we're not together.

I guess I'm happy enough.

Only 15, so I guess when I really think about it I really should be happy with all I have and what I've accomplished so far... but somehow--and I know it's silly--but I can already begin to feel the years slipping away so quickly. Oh what I would do for more time.

Happy? Not really. Maybe if I still had a certain good friend...

I am, life's beautiful! When i was 12 i wanted to be a film maker, I still want to so I'm studying cinema. So i guess this is pretty much where I imagined i would be by now. The only thing missing right now is a girl to give me some love, jeje. And by love i don't mean sex (which is way easier to get). But that's just a detail, everything else is just dandy.

That is EXACTLY how I felt last year!

Could be worse....

Have a lot of pressure and stress but nothing beats the fact that I'm on my own two feet. Struggle I may, but I'm doing it all on my own baby.

My failures may certainly be mine, but it also means my acomplishments are mine too!

I was having this conversation with Fixxy just the other night.

I'm in a place in my life where I ought to be very happy with the progress I've made. 6 months ago I was unemployed and in a poor marriage with no prospects for the future. I was standing back watching my life go down the drain. 6 months later, and I've moved to the UK (something I've dreamt of doing for nearly 10 years), found a good paying job in a company that appreciates me, found a wonderful person to spend my time with and am finally writing again. Yet I'm still feeling down. Not nearly as much as I was in the past, but still...

I think it's just a chemical imbalance in my head. I don't think I'll ever hear myself say, "Yes, I am happy". I don't really know how to be.

I think I am.. I am at uni studying a course I love. I have an amazing group of friends and contacts. I feel like my life is stable, I have definite career goals. I volunteer for things that satisfy me. Could do with a job and a boyfriend, but the latter are overrated anyway, so a job will do me.
