Quicksilver is just pure crap. Although, I do find myself enjoying most of the rest of the album now. Good call with the extra listens, Bride.

See, what did I tell you?

But okay, Quicksilver IS probably the least impressive track on the album, but it's not like we haven't anything else to listen to besides that, thank goodness.

I don't like all of MORE. But at least half of it is very good!

I like The Nile Song LESS!

The Nile Song and Ibiza Bar are practically the same! I think More is a huge step forwards compared to corporal clegg shit....

Re: A Momentary Lapse of Reason Vs. The Division Bell

Has anyone tried playing the Division Bell with Midtown Madness 2? I strongly recommend it. It's a pretty good combination. Or maybe TDB is just a good album to play with video games.

Re: A Momentary Lapse of Reason Vs. The Division Bell

It seems as if most people like TDB better, but i must say i think that AMLOR is waaaaayy better. I was very bored just about the entire time listening to division bell...As i listen i just want to skip ahead to keep talking and high hopes. It all just kind of blends together and gets boring. I think the only bad part of AMLOR is a new machine (parts 1 and 2) but they are both really short so its okay. When I listen to DB i can't wait for it to end...When i listen to AMLOR i enjoy it.

Re: A Momentary Lapse of Reason Vs. The Division Bell

lapse is.. interesting. i agree that is is a neat capsuel of the 80's sound, and that is kinda cool. people have said the writing is weak, but it does in fact have a good theme. has anyone ever read the lord of the flies? very similar, and yes, the new machines do have a point.

db is cool. it is an album that sums and gathers the emotions, and some of the story of the pf saga. its something that brings closure much much better than laspe, and has some great tunes.. wdywfm and high hopes i find particularily memoriable. its a great album to kick back and relax to. nice and mellow, which is pobably how they feel after all those years. however, its not as good a band closure as free as a bird.. :P

Lord of the flies is my favorite book. I really haven't paid much attention to the lyrics on lapse, i just got it recently...i'll have to read the cd jacket to see the connection.

Re: A Momentary Lapse of Reason Vs. The Division Bell

I haven't heard TDB yet (it's in the mail heading my way ), but I have AMLoR and I like it... I don't love it, but I do like it. On the Turning Away is one of the best damn Pink Floyd songs period, Roger or not, it's great. The rest of the CD is meh, except maybe Terminal Frost which is great.

Re: A Momentary Lapse of Reason Vs. The Division Bell

Well, I got The Divison Bell... and I must say, it's about 100x better than AMLoR. I LOVE it. Great, great, great, great CD.

Favorite songs are Wearing the INside Out, Coming Back to Life, Lost for Words, and High Hopes.
