Ca Ira now a reality

Almost unbelievable that we've waited this long, but it's finally going to be released.

It's sounds more like a traditional sort of Fat Lady Sings type of thing to me.

Re: Ca Ira now a reality

I will buy it for sure, Nick Mason's enthusiasm for the finished product had me quite excited. Yes, it's a real opera, brand new and with no trace of rock and roll whatsoever. To take it on tour would be indefensibly expensive, but Roger says he wants to come back to the USA and play some rock shows again next year - without an orchestra tagging along in their own bus, I'm sure.

edit: Oh yeah, Roger's collaborator, Rick Wentworth, is the guy who did the score for Withnail and I!

Opera is seriously awful, I can't see this being any different personally.

I agree, it's at least worth a listen. Sounds good having input from Rick Wentworth as well, Withnail and I has a great score.

Re: Ca Ira now a reality

I am not holding my breath. What makes a guy with little or no (to my knowledge) classical music training think that he can write an opera?!

These rock stars! They are so rich that anyone will indulge them.
