Exclamation Problem of a serious nature, please help!

Okay,

So I was into Pink Floyd like mad for the past year or so, insanely awaiting the day when I would have enough money to go purchase the next PF cd that wasn't in my possesion. I bought tons of magazines on them, joined a site on nothing but them, truly basking in the glories of PF.

Then, Christmas rolled around and I finally received the final PF cd I needed to complete my collection, AMLOR. As the week went by I relized I had done it, yet no accomplishment came to me.

Ever since then, it seems that I have been growing more distant from PF. I haven't been on the site for months, and although I still listen to them, it just feels different.

Has anyone else ever experienced this most awful dilemma? What should I do? I never want to lose my love for the greatest band ever in my opinion.

Well I do have many other interests, I don't need any new hobby's with what I already have. But I'm talking music here.

You shouldn't pledge yourself to one band exclusively. Find a new band to collect albums from, stop listening to Pink Floyd for a while, give it a year and everything will be good again.

Yeah, that's a good suggestion. It's sort of what I'm doing now...I don't listen to Floyd heavily any more, but occassionally I'll get a strong urge to listen to a particular album. In the meantime, my tastes have broadened, and I've found a lot of new good stuff.

But I forsee a return to the Floyd sometime this summer.

I lost my interest in Floyd a while ago. I couldn't care less.

How unfortunate...when our own moderators no longer hold interest.

Funny how we have a Moderator who "couldn't care less" about Pink Floyd...exactly what kind of a resume do you have to have to become a moderator...

It happens man, you get tired of bands you listen to a lot at one point. Currently I'm loving Black Sabbath again who I drifted away from earlier. Perhaps that will happen with the Floyd also someday. I still listen to Floyd sometimes but not as fanatic as I did when I just started listening to them. Mods are people too you know.

Read this. It basically means you have to pay to get some of the old features back.

Yeah BTW - do you need to listen to Floyd all day in order to be a good mod here?

Make that two and as the vast majority of the posts that actually need moderating have bugger all to do with Pink Floyd anyway your argument falls down somewhat.

Re: Problem of a serious nature, please help!

It's a somewhat ridiculous statement.
