Saucerful (the album) is underrated and better than Piper...

Does anyone else agree with me? Not necessarily the "better than Piper" part, but at least the fact that A Saucerful of Secrets is severly underrated. The only Floyd album that is bashed more than this is the studio half of Ummagumma, and this is usually referred to as The Floyd's "sophmore slump". However I feel that it is better and more consistent than Piper, which had two songs that I honestly did not care for (Scarecrow and Bike) and one that was rather average, possibly even mediocre (Pow R. Toc H.).

Saucerful, however, is very good/great throughout (Let There Be More Light and Set The Controls being the highlights). To close, I'm not saying that Saucerful is quite up to the level of Dark Side, Animals, WYWH, Meddle, Atom Heart Mother, Obscured by Clouds, The Wall (though it has a much higher replay value than TW), or maybe even More (though I really need to give it another listen); I'm just saying that it is underrated and unfairly bashed by fans, though it doesn't deserve to be.

Oh, yeah, for anyone wondering, which I'm guessing is no one: I'd give Saucerful a 9/10 and Piper an 8.5/10.

There is already a thread about the inns and outhouses of both albums discussed in a relative light, over here.
