Re: Reforming for LIVE AID II ?

I definitely think Pink Floyd will get back together. Everyone else may doubt it, but you have to have faith. I think they'll put aside they're differences and perform. Roger talks like he doesn't want to ever perform with them again. But sometimes he puts very subtle hints into his sentences that deep down he actually does and why wouldn't he? There's nothing to lose except some dignity but he'd gain even more respect. He talks about how he has finally grown up. I think he should prove it, and I honestly think he will. I just wish I could be in Hyde Park on July 2, 2005 to witness it. It'd definitely be a bright ending to a story with many dark sides to it, or maybe a new chapter to a book that was thought to have ended long ago.

You obviously need to read a lot more about the floyd if you think they will definitely get back together. Thats not saying they wont but it is highly unlikely. In this case http://www.brain-damage.co.uk/ has an article which states the current state of affairs including Bob Geldof denying the concert is even going to happen.

Re: Reforming for LIVE AID II ?

Just think of all the people believing that the Floyd is coming together at the concert that isn't happening in the first place.

Poor people...

Ok the Live Aid II (Live 8??) concert has been confirmed today so the second part of that post is now trash.

Over 30 years ago Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker & Jack Bruce said they would never again perform together (I think they said they wouldn't even talk to each other again), I was lucky enough to see the last of the Cream reunion concerts at the Royal Albert hall last month.

The Eagles when they split up said they would get back together when Hell freezes over and a couple of years ago they embarked on the 'Hell freezes over' tour.

Never say Never as stranger thing have happened in the world of music.

Live 8 is happening, but the list of artists just released does NOT include Pink Floyd.

Re: Reforming for LIVE AID II ?

This is true, however the names of both unlikely reunions - Pink Floyd and, ugh! I have to mention them in the same breath as, the Spice Girls - are still being bandied about in connection with Live 8.

I have heard that a mobile text lottery will be run for tickets to the Hyde Park gig which, if true, is a bit of a f***ing swizz since I think I have the RIGHT, having attended the first one, to buy tickets for this one. Still, it will probably be the same as the first: general seating and a mad, dangerous stampede for the stage at doors opening.

Dunno if I should bother vying for tickets.

Re: Reforming for LIVE AID II ?

Today, on an Italian newspaper, I read about the likely presence of Pink Floyd in Live 8.
