I'd NEVER slag off Mr. Wonder...I still applaud, among his other great accomplishments musically, his bravery in telling it like it is about Louis Farrahkan (spelling?) at the Million Man March.

Have you heard Mr. Geldof's recent comments regarding race and the line-up? I'd say PF would be a no-go; apparently, you have to be black in order to be supportive of Africa.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I misread the article. It was one of Mr. Geldof's critics - and I have read some other stuff here just this morning, leading me to believe that some lessons were learned from Live Aid and the Ethiopia fiasco. This may well be worth supporting.

Actually, I'm pretty psyched about seeing him. I just hope that the 'other acts' that they're working on getting are better than Jay Z-Diddy-50 Cent.


A little Stevie Wonder could really brighten up the day though.

Good to see some sense among the ranks - or are they just humouring me? - and GDL, I agree about many of the others appearing there...but the same can be said of all the venues. Zucherro?

As close as I am to Philly, I won't be attending because

A) it would give crediblity and my tacit endorsement to the "cause" which isn't so much to help Africa then to blame Bush and other world leaders and

B) there isn't one good act scheduled.
