Is Dave self-taught?

Dave used to sit in the classroom with Syd at dinner time at school and stuff and he learnt Syd all the techniques he knew like ball bearings down the neck and slide guitar. Lighters etc.

I know Roger took lessons for a while. I've never heard mention of Dave taking them though. He and Sid did play together, and I believe that if either of them was in the *teacher* position, it was Dave.

David tought Syd how to use a vox(or something).

Anyway Syd's style is inimitable, not only as a guitar player but also as a songwriter.

He was one of a kind.
