Re: What's your best find?

In the sense that I don't find weird white powders anymore either intentional or unintentional, I'd say so yes.

Well, all admirers of the female body should like it.

The sound isn't too bad, and it's very interesting to listen to - Comfortably Numb, for example, has quite different lyrics (some of which I am quite frankly glad he changed - case in point, "Listen/I am a physician/And I can help with your condition/Just like a magician" Sorry Rog, not your best!), and there's just a different "feel" to some of the other songs. Like I said, I'm not a serious collector or anything, just a college kid who happened to be lucky enough to find this used CD for $12 at a sale - I don't know if it's especially rare or valuable or anything, but I had never seen it before and it looked cool, so I got it. Has anyone heard of this? I'd be interested to know. Peace!
It is not a promo but a bootleg. You can download it quite easily on the Internet (usually by searching for the title "Under Construction") and keep your $12 for other things, like CDs that the band has actually authorized! It has some very interesting rough versions, particularly the much longer "Is There Anybody Out There?" sequence and Nick's incredibly naff drumming on "Mother."

But it's not something I'd listen to every day.

Re: What's your best find?

my lp of DSOTM was broken: i couldn't even play 'great gig in the sky' anymore (in my opinion a wonderfull song). so i bought a new DSOTM. for only 3 Euro's (its like 5 USdollars?). the vinyl looks like it's never played before. when i came home i discovered that the posters and the sticker where inside. oh yeah!

Re: What's your best find?

I once found a vinyl copy of the compilation "Masters of Rock"... at a local shopping centre!! That was like 13 or 14 years ago and I really don't know how this copy got there. At the shopping centre they weren't aware of what they were selling so it was really cheap. In those days there weren't so many roios on CD and there wasn't internet either so it was the first time that I could listen to "Candy and a Currant Bun", "Apples and Oranges" and "It Would Be So Nice" (I already knew the others since "Relics" was the first vinyl I had ever bought).

Re: What's your best find?

While "shopping" in a friends crate of vinyls, i found 2 Dark Side of the Moon vinyls that looked very interesting, I already had one, but these 2, i just had to have. The first, a white import, the second, and original master recording. Picking up the whole crate i gave him 25 bux for everything (some other records mixed in UmmaGumma with a poster that was supposed to go in another album, and some Zeppelin albums) and walked off, very proud of myself indeed. Not only did i get some awesome Floyd vinyls, but i got 30 other lps from other bands on top of it, and a free poster.
