Another Language Forum

I dont know if it would help to bring other cultures to the site but I was thinking maybe you could put one forum that is all one language like spanish, korean, italian, etc. I think if we did that maybe we could bring other cultures into the scene and give different point of views...in a different language. this could also benifit other already APFFN members who already have the talent of knowing two languages....but I also know that there are a lot of APFFN members already...so it was just an idea.

I think the majority of people here speak English though (I think), and it's easier to have a discussion all in one language.

Well i ment a forum where only one language is spoken....for those who dont know english but another languange

I have actually considered this before, but indeed, most people who reach the site speak (or understand) English, and those who don't I bet don't go past the main page, so I'm not too sure there would be much participation in such language-specific forums. Also, we would need new moderators for those languages. Maybe something for the future, skylicker, thanks for the feedback though.

These only work if there's a specific niche for them. For example, on The Mars Volta forum I post on, there's a spanish board, but this is because the two main members of the band are hispanic, and there are many many many hispanic fans, the band even sings in Spanish sometimes. Plenty of people from South America posting, and there are hispanic moderators for that specific purpose. The way I see it, there's nothing about PF that's culture specific to a language other than English, so there wouldn't be much point. What would be the point of saying having a Spanish forum but not one in French? You start one thing, you gotta start a whole load of others. You gotta cater to what the topic requires, and PF doesn't need anything else besides English.

i can speak french and german to a good standard so i don't think it would be a problem for me to go on a forum thats in another tongue. plus also for those of us who only speak english it would be a good oppertunity to learn another language

Snap je dat heb ik wel vaker gedaan. Het is best vermoeiend om altijd maar die saaie taal van jullie te moeten spreken. En dan ben ik ook nog de enige Nederlander hier. Misschien moet ik wel wat vaker schijt hebben en gewoon mijn eigen taal spreken. Pech als je het dan niet kan lezen. Morgen weer werken vroeg uit m´n nest je weet hoe dat gaat he.
