Re: Covers By Other Bands

PS Most of the songs you listed suck by the way, Except for Wyclef's WYWH and the B-side version of Class of 2000's ABITWp2. (That's the one without vocals.)They were just great.
Foo Fighter's Have a Cigar was the worst in my opinion, and Limp Bizkit's added lyrics really sucked.

Re: Covers By Other Bands

While I havn't heard this next one yet, I found out that At The Drive In covered "Take Up Thy Stethescope and Walk". For some reason the idea alone is really amusing.

Re: Covers By Other Bands

After reading recently lots of PF fans here talking about rarities/bootlegs/RoIOs, I've finally started digging - not the full-on steam shovel-type digging, more of the boot-nudging-the-surface sort.

A couple I've found have got me curious - somewhat appalled - to figure out if Roger ever sang WYWH with Bruce Springsteen, and if Pink Floyd (in whatever form) ever performed "Knocking on Heaven's Door".

I even searched for this thread because I remembered seeing it's kind before. Aren't I good?

Thanks NNJ, but any chance of further information: when, where, why, with whom else?

Re: Covers By Other Bands

The Wall Live in Berlin... tonnes of ppl doing it all together.

Sparklehorse did Wish You Were Here with Thom Yorke singing over the phone from a hotel room.

There's that crazy acoustic cover of Echoes somewhere on this board.

The barbershop quartet I'm in does a really cool a capella version of Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun... all sorts of wailing and moaning inspired by Gyorgi Lygeti

But I don't have Knocking on Heaven's Door on my CD of The Wall Live in Berlin.
