Considering they hadn't played for ten years it was bloody miraculous.

Cool Re: Pink Floyd Performance at Live 8

It sounds like it was a great performance. I'm sorry I missed it. It also sounds like Rick got shafted by whoever was operating the camera for mtv

Re: Pink Floyd Performance at Live 8

It was mostly an emotional thing. Watching David Gilmour and Roger Waters together again doing the old numbers was so wonderful...
Technically... well, it could have been better and Mason recognized being "a bit rusty". But Gilmour was his usual self playing guitar and I still get goose pimples with Comfortably Numb's solo: did you see Rick Wright getting off his stool? He was almost jumping! I think I have never seen this man so excited.
Music is not only about musical brilliance and technique, feelings count too...

Re: Pink Floyd Performance at Live 8

Remember how in the old shows they would go through the radio stations at the start of WYWH?

I was thinking how funny it would be if they did that at Live 8 and tuned into themselves performing live on the radio

Re: Pink Floyd Performance at Live 8

Rog wanted to start their set with "In The Flesh", now that would have been something, Breathe was really great but ITF really would have set a great mood.
