Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

Mother of all that is holy and right, I have never been more excited and pissed off in my life. There are no words to describe the absolute disgust I have for MTV. And this explains my feelings towards MTV before they cut off Pink Floyd mid-solo after their 20 year break-up with Roger Waters, then go to commercial, and show COMPLETE FOOTAGE OF STEVIE WONDER IN PHILLY AND DESCRIBE IT AS THE APEX OF THE SHOW.

Mark my words, if I had any power in this world, I would immediately be calling for a complete restructuring of MTV networks and the ****'ing tasteless, money-grubbing play-anything-for-money-and-popularity sons of bitches that control it.

I've always been able to ignore MTV, but now they've come directly between me and my beloved Pink Floyd. In my eyes, they couldn't have made a bigger mistake.

To: God,
Dear God. I've never asked you for much. But right now I only want you to destroy MTV.

A time machine and lots of cash would be nice too.

Lol, absolutely **ing great. But why did everybody watch it on MTV? The BBC had a superb live-coverage from 13:00?

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

What a ****in great show!! OMG!

MTV Brazil transmitted it without any cuts! Except for the end, when they hugged each other (that's what I heard on the radio - is that true??) and MTV didn't show

Also, did you guys note that Dave almost didn't smile? On the other hand, Roger and Nick looked like having a real good time... Rick almost didn't appear so I can't tell what was his mood

Those folks didn't have the BBC at the time. Our own broadcast on Ned 3 was shite also.

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

****!! I didn't bloody see it, they're not showing it on Aussie TV (god damn it, only the biggest music event of all time and they decide NOT to show it til tonight, AND from the looks of it, they won't even be showing Floyd)

Can anyone see a VERY VERY angry moderator here?

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

I just felt compelled to join this place after witnessing Pink Floyd at Hyde Park, they were amazing! I shed a little tear during 'Wish You Were Here', which was my highlight of the whole show. It was lovely that Roger mentioned Syd too.

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

I was in tears the whole time, frankly. It was ANYTHING but the cold boring performance a lot of people thought it would be. Especially Roger was obviously having a great time.
