Yeah, I thought that was REALLY cool. It's the only time I've heard Breathe with the reprise right after it. Usually, it's tacked onto the end of Time, or not played at all. It was a nice surprise.

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

I agree TOTALLY blew me away, I was kind of shaking. I wish they did more songs and HOPE and pray for even a one off whole concert that would be live on TV or even live and if I can't go release it on DVD. It sounded amazing and Dave blew me away on his leads.

I said no my friend thats a big fan "Now I can die"

probably bad karma to say that but...... it fit

Mark my words, if I had any power in this world, I would immediately be calling for a complete restructuring of MTV networks and the ****'ing tasteless, money-grubbing play-anything-for-money-and-popularity sons of bitches that control it.

I've always been able to ignore MTV, but now they've come directly between me and my beloved Pink Floyd. In my eyes, they couldn't have made a bigger mistake.

Dear God. I've never asked you for much. But right now I only want you to destroy MTV.

A time machine and lots of cash would be nice too.

DUDE I can not agree with you more, I was showing me Dad and he said they do alot of that crap. I HATE TV what is the issues about commercials DAMN IT when something like this is going on you DON'T CUT to commercial. For any music fan seeing one of the most important events being cut is totally CRAP. I hope to write to MTV and tell them how much of an ass they are. Sad thing is I watched it on VH1 and they did the same thing (I know they are one in the same) but I figured if anything VH1 big wig knows this is one of the most important events for PF fans.

DAMN TV

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

Remember when you were young you shone like the sun !! And they still do !

Absolutley loved the Pink Floyd ! Wish they would play all night. Goosebumps when the stage was set (watched on the internet, did not want to miss a second) loved the beginning, middle and end of the set !

MTV AND CTV need to be reminded what REAL music is. Pink Floyd is timeless, nobody will be listening to Destiny or Marriah 30 years from now !

Question : Did not see Roger during the finale, was he there ?

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

Didn't see Rog either. I'll slow mo the vid when it comes in and check --- I think he might've left. @ first, it seemed like Dave was teary-eyed and Rog was having a grand ol' time. Dave's mood seemed to shift when Rog opened his mouth about the band being back together. I got the impression that Rog & Nick [and maybe Rick, but who knows] had a great time, but Dave was a little apprehensive.

Anyone else get that feeling?

Regardless, great performance'

Re: Pink Floyd at Live 8

I was choked up from the start. And can only echo the superlatives already used to describe this evening's history in the making - I saw and giggled at the "pigs flown" poster too.

And welcome Johnroxx; it's a shame MTV wasn't as up to the job as the good ole Beeb. I hope your public time here is enjoyable.

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

It happened! I cannot beleive it. I am even looking at these pictures and cannot believe it. What an amazing performance! The best part is that it was just Pink Floyd. Not Pink Floyd and 10 backing musicans. Just Nick, Roger, Rick and David. I personally am glad they did not pull out "Another Brick in the Wall part 2". The setlist was great for what time they had. MTV f'd it up but, this is a group of people that think "Rate My Face" made for a great TV show. Loved that David broke out the lap steel for Breathe and played his 70's Strat and not his '57 reissue (sorry, I am guitar player and you can hear a difference in the two.. too much to explain but, there is a big difference in the electronics). Kinda odd that Rick got almost no face time or even sang. Wishing Syd was there... GREAT touch Roger. I know that a vast majority of the fans did not understand that but, it just helps with the Floyd mystique. Roger seemed to almost be egging to audience on to sing along! This coming from a man who once spit on a fan... so glad to see he has come to love performing again. They all played great (yeah, Nick was rusty but, he admitted that on BBC radio.. and Nick was never the world's best drummer... just the perfect drummer for Pink Floyd). I know some have complained that David looked a little apprehensive but, he kinda always does when he plays.

Ok, I rambled on like a giddy little girl. Time for me to go and watch a replay at sometime.

Re: Well, what did we think about PF on Live8?

just let you know how stupid MTv is and how gay and out of touch they are with music and how much they are only into what is NOW and so damn useless.

Here is my findings of them today, beside the major goof on PF they had an interview with Chris Martin from Coldplay. There were 2 guys sitting there, one was Chris and one was Richard Ashcroft from The Verve. The reporter says interview with ColdPlay, the header under the interview says ColdPlay but it is Chris and Richard YOU NUMB NUTS

GOOD LORD get us some real music TV
