sleep-deprived tableaux

Duly seven/eight is the stage setting
Now I pour me into bed mouthing
round-edged cadences
As the floral shadows looming long clinging desperate
and sentinel moon of crimson beam
hushed the bottlecap's last dying words as it fell
and rent the night infamous
a trillionth shard, less nine or more (nought
but the last mealy-eyed fibre of a former afterlife)
made laughter in celebratory mews
And so I roared in slumber
crushed beneath transaction

"goodtandem,thankstomorrow"
a recommendant question of how sight betrayed
forced niceties unwound betwixt stranger bedfellows
Make obscenery rehearse the outpouring for but token benefit
reaped Hereafter
...some lengths we sometimes descend for approval or charm

stopped up in summertime, moment by moment
tacky, peeling, oppressive and toxic
a forest-thick paintjob recovered what reminiscence
gathered oxide must and skinflint microbes
It could coat desires in colourized fountains
"the stud church reform" outplayed
Stake your scope wide and near, henpecker everlasting!
Wrack and brutalize the tabula rasa
immolate the vestigial commodities:
love, comparing one to his Other
as you melted in my mouth
