What does Roger Waters mean in the song Sheep when he says:
Well, I've looked over Jordan and I have seen
Things are not what they seem
is he referring to Micahel Jordan??
I have no idea what this mean, somebody help me

The Jordan River. This river was mentioned many key times in The Bible (i.e. Joshua, etcetera), which Roger uses in reference to certain corrupt Religious factions. Not to stray from the subject, but I don't think Roger was attacking Religion per se. This is not coming from a Religious standpoint. I believe he was referring to those factions that are hypocrites and take their followers for their money, or sometimes their lives. Sadly, this has happened many times (i.e. "Reverend" Jim Jones incident, etc.).
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. But anyway, he is referring to the Jordan River. (Or he may be referring to the country Jordan, but I don't think that's the case.)

By the way...

Why the hell does Pink Floyd put Sheep in every single compilation album/greatist hits/live greatist hits?

They should know that all the loyal fans like Dogs. I'm not saying this because I like that song. I'm saying it because I've seen a lot of people praise it on this forum.

just to mention a line from Amused to Death which goes like "I looked over Jordan and what did I see? Saw a U.S. marine in the pile debris"

The song is "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot." The lyric is "Oh, I looked over Jordan and what did I see/ Comin' for to carry me home? Swing low, sweet chariot, comin' for to carry me home."

Reference to Elijah's ascent in the fiery chariot
