Re: Official Live 8 thread I can't stop listening to the Live video that was posted few weeks back. Blows me away everytime. Dave G. is by far one of my favorite guitarist on earth. Guy is like late 50's 60's ?? not sure of age but he's still got it and that SOUND too. Next best thing to that is ColdPlay doing Fix You, I can't stop listening to that also. That song just cruzed out over the audience surrounding them. I actually like the Live8 version better than the studio cut. The drummer has a better feel live then what was recorded, and the guitar was soaring. If anyone needs links to all the Live8 vids let me know PM me

Re: Official Live 8 thread I think Dido and Youssou N'Dour was one of the most underrated performances. I think their version of "7 Seconds" was really great. The Who also had deserved more votes.

Re: Official Live 8 thread I was very surprised to read about Bob Ezrin recounting his experience of this historic event in Mark Blake's excellent Floyd biography, Comfortably Numb. He mentions being backstage at the Canadian Live 8 show and suddenly realizing that the small crowd gathered around was watching HIM watch the reunion, rather than the performance itself! I was in that crowd... believe me, we were watching both!
