Angry Article on the Live 8 concert

Read this:

http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertai...al-artslife-tv

This is terrible news for Americans hoping to watch the best band to ever walk the earth perform a groundbraking concert. This is so frustrating, but it's kind of expected. It looks as if we won't get to see much of Floyd. MTV will cut to and from each location during the eight hours of the gig. "Artists" such as Jay-Z and Destiny's Child will probably get more coverage than Floyd. Especially since one of the locations will be Philadelphia, in the US. I AM SO F*CKING PISSED. I may go on a rampage if MTV fucks this one up, which in all likelihood will happen. And don't expect anything more than the highlights from a DVD that will come out. Blargh!!!!!!

How will I ever get to see or own the full PF performance???

EDIT: I don't know if anything similar to this has been posted already, but I just wanted to do this.

Re: Article on the Live 8 concert

I hear what your saying. Here in Oz we have a pay-tv channel showing it all and a free-to-air channel showing highlights. Unfortunately I don't have the funds for pay-tv so I gotta hope that the free-to-air channel thinks a Pink Floyd reunion as much of a highlight as I certainly do.

Does anyone here know how to watch the full Floyd concert if you're from the US?

Re: The Live 8 show

You can come round and watch it here at Cheese Towers if you like, I may not be in residence personally but you can have one of the guest wings.

Re: Article on the Live 8 concert

Is there any truth that someone nicked the large viewing screen from out the park?

I can confirm that turnstiles have been set up in Scotland at all the free showings. It costs nothing to get in, and £10 to get out! Mind the rush when Macca's on!

All guests staying at Cheese Towers do so entirely at their own risk. The Management (i.e. me!) will accept no responsibility for injuries caused by willfull misuse of the facilities, correct use of the facilities or no use of the facilities.
