Re: Nick Mason

And you would rather have a song by Nick Mason than a drum solo, spliced together with tape effects added? I would rather have the drum solo.

BTW, has Nick ever written a released song?

Re: Nick Mason

Is all that malarky true that Roger did that as Nick's birthday present?

Re: Nick Mason

If so, then I guess that Roger was capable of doing a nice thing for a fellow bandmate, eh?

Re: Nick Mason

In all fairness, he did a nice thing for me (albeit a tiny, tiny thing), and that didn't look like drunk handwriting!

I think he had issues in his younger days--and I think he did have problems being nice. But I think that like any of us, he's learning and growing. It's when you do NOT change that there's a problem...

Re: Nick Mason

Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere but have a look at this link:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...056669-1950045

If the link doesn't work it's about Nick's biography of the band:

"Nick Mason, the only member of Pink Floyd to have been part of the band continuously since day one, has written their history, not shirking the more difficult moments of their career, including the deterioration of original leading light Syd Barrett and the bitter rift with bass player Roger Waters. "

The book has an ISBN no. so I guess it must exist somewhere right?

Re: Nick Mason

IF I recall correctly, though, the other two current Floydians thought it would be better if any such work were a collaboration, so they asked Mr. Mason not to release that project.
