| Re: Nick Mason Myself, I would really believe what Nick Mason wrote would be as close to the truth as anyone would ever get. Whatever Gilmour doesn't like he just wants to change to make himself come across better and that is not the truth. ___________________ I trust Nick Mason. He has the least to hide |

| Re: Nick Mason Actually gilmour said the following on the issue: MSNLive: What exactly happened to Nick's book "Pink Floyd: The Official History”? Why wasn't it released? Will it ever see the light of day? David Gilmour: I got rather grumpy about it because I didn't really think that what I saw of it conveyed enough of the artistic process and asked him to can it. Which he did, so far. Sounds to me like he was only concerned with what angle the thing was taking.

| Re: Nick Mason Hmmm. I don't think I would read Nicks' book to hear more on the artistic process. I know the process. |

| Re: Nick Mason So you'd prefer to hear all about their private lives. I think that's what Gilmour was "grumpy" about. It's none of our business.

| Re: Nick Mason He doesn't want to look bad. It really is about the artistic process.

| Re: Nick Mason Personally I think it would be best as a collaboration, just because I think the combination of all three perspectives would probably be the most effective way to write. I also don't think they need to get too far into their private lives if they don't want to. I'd be fine with whatever book all three decided they wanted to put out.

| Re: Nick Mason Hey. This is my first post! I think Nick Mason brings the groove in the pink floyd songs, along with Waters. Waters is good with the bass as well. And I play bass, guitar and drums. What I really dig is the bass-organ solo in the end of Shine on You Crazy Diamond Part 8 (?) !! I was at the Roger waters - in the flesh concert in Stockholm, and it felt like 11.000 people grooved along with that bassline played by Andy Fairweather-Low :o :o :o (-- Above --> In The Flesh tour band <- above --) |
