Re: Did Rick Play on the Wall at All????? James Guthrie says "Rick played much more on the album than people give him credit for," including some Hammond organ, but doesn't specify which tracks are him. Last edited by Botley; 07-05-2005 at 04:11 PM.

Re: Did Rick Play on the Wall at All????? I've wondered if he composed the bits on the demo tapes and they were then recorded by someone else. In the booklet for the "Is Anybody Out There?" Rick says most of his parts were recorded when he was sacked and he wanted to finish recording but wasn't allowed.

Re: Did Rick Play on the Wall at All????? Someone has very kindly put the complete performance credits for the album on the individual Wikipedia pages for each song. Normally I'd be skeptical about such claims, but they do have citations from Vernon Fitch and Richard Mahon's book "Comfortably Numb" (for which they interviewed David Gilmour specifically about this issue). According to that, then, Richard plays synthesizers on "In the Flesh?", "Another Brick in the Wall (all parts)", "Goodbye Blue Sky", "Don't Leave Me Now", "Goodbye Cruel World", "Hey You", "Is There Anybody Out There?", "Nobody Home", "Vera" and "Run Like Hell"; Hammond organ on "The Thin Ice", "Another Brick in the Wall Part II", "Young Lust", "Don't Leave Me Now", "Hey You", "Comfortably Numb" and "Waiting for the Worms"; piano on "The Thin Ice", "Empty Spaces", "One of My Turns", "Don't Leave Me Now" and "The Trial"; and electric piano on "Young Lust" and "Hey You".

Re: Did Rick Play on the Wall at All????? In fact, the only Wall songs on which Rick DOESN'T appear are "The Happiest Days of Our Lives", "Mother", "Bring the Boys Back Home", "In the Flesh" and "Outside the Wall". It turns out that he also played lots more piano than I had originally thought.
