Hoping for a PF reunion tour?

"We've been offered US$150million to do gigs in the States. It's completely mad - and we won't do it. The idea was for Live 8 as a one-off." -David Gilmour

He went on to say that it was a "once-in-a-lifetime event." Sorry to burst those hopeful bubbles, folks... but we can still expect solo tours next year from David and Roger instead.

sigh.. nothing we can do but watch the Live 8 footage over and over again, and shed the occasional tear.

Well, at least it was a "storybook" ending.

"......And they lived happily ever after".

Well...seriously I don't know what to believe anymore.
Everyone said the Live8 Reunion wouldn't happen.
As Roger has said in the past...never say never.

The only tiny crumb of comfort I take from this statement (and I realise I'm being delusional) is that he's talking about gigs with Roger not the usual threesome.
Have you got a link to that quote Botley old chum?

Re: Hoping for a PF reunion tour?

It's on Brain Damage, obviously.
There's also this bit of an interview with Nick Mason:

When asked whether there were any plans for more than a one-time reunion, however, Mason said no such plans were being discussed at this time. "On the other hand, if you would have asked me 20 years ago whether we’d ever reunite in the future, I would tell you with certainty that ‘No,’ and today I’m not saying that," Mason said.

Hey cheese, do you see now a light at the end of the tunnel about the eventuality of future concerts?

Re: Hoping for a PF reunion tour?

Live8 would be an amazing ending but it will never be enough for my liking. Especially as i have the divine right to demand more from these guys who have done so much over the last 40 years

Frankly, no. At the moment all the pressure is on for them to do a tour with Roger which Dave has already said no to and in the light of their supposedly burying the hatchet I can't see him saying "bollocks to touring with Roger, let's just us three and our traveling circus hit the road again." Can you? Really?
I can't see it happening.
