Re: Who sings what?

What a ridiculously insignificant thing to think so hard about.

Impressive nonetheless.

Re: Who sings what?

Dave sings lead on the Corporal Clegg verses "....had a wooden leg"
Dave sings lead on the Let There Be More Light chorus.
Toni Tenille is on stuff on the Wall along with Beach Boy Bruce Johnson
Dave sings on a lot of the early stuff. He was hired because he COULD sing.

Re: Who sings what?

How is it that I've read 2 Floyd biographies, one of which had an extensive track by track analysis of 'The Wall', as well as Nick Mason's autobio, and I never knew that it was the Beach Boys singing on those tracks on 'The Wall'?

Re: Who sings what?

I don't know.

Anyway, it's only one Beach Boy and he's not even an original Beach Boy!
Bruce Johnston was a BB from '66 - '72 and then he came back in the '80s just in time for all those tired old re-treads of past glories like "Kokomo" etc...

The Wall liner notes give a list of the backing singers. Another notable name in the list is Toni Tenille who was a '70s soft rock superstar with her Captain! The Captain and Tenille! One of their catchy (for the time) album covers was the two of them in towels in a steam bath and when you're twelve, it's a pretty hot pic.

Now I'm just babbling. Guess I'll just go and chill to some nice '70s soft rock and come back later.

Re: Who sings what?

Toni Tennille is not the voice of the groupie in the beginning of "One of My Turns". That woman is Trudy Young. Just wanted to clear that up.
