Johnny Depp's idea for a movie about Syd and PF

lol, i agree, however it is also true the richard gere would make a very good old rog, which is very weird

about jonnhy depp playing syd, i don't think it would be a very good idea. he looks very young for a 40 year-old but no way he looks 20-ish. i personally don't see anybody playing young syd, i mean he was unbelievably beautiful

although Roger looks like Richard Gere now- my choice to play him in any film about Floyd's earlier years would be British actor Christopher Eccleston, seen last as Dr. Who.

If you've seen the film "Gone in 60 Seconds", he (with his hair longer) plays the bad guy and when I first saw that film he reminded me immediately of Waters around the Wall period (right down to the black leather jacket).

I think Depp would be the perfect choice for Syd, and I agree about Burton directing it. I think he would have a really unusual take on it which could be interesting.

Yeah, Tim Burton & Johnny Depp should be in there somewhere. As a matter of fact, the idea for this movie needs to be in there -- it sounds ridiculous.
