One of these days echo box and tecnique??

Hello,

Does anybody knows exactly which Binson (model and year) they (Roger Waters and David Gilmoud) where using when recording On of these days, and when playing live.

I'm interested in knowing as much as possible about settings and how they used the Binson and how Roger Waters played it. (I have seen it played on Puls and Delicate..., but is this the same way as Waters played it?.

When the new version of pompeii was relesed I was hoping to see fotoages of Whaters as well, but there where none.

Does there exist film (bootleg or original) ehre it is possible to se Roger Waters playing the bass to this great song?

I'm very thankfull for any help.

Sincerely
Oivind, Norway grorud@gmail.com

Im fairly certain they used the second model binson to ever come out, the first model always leaked oil and the third edition they just didnt bother with. No idea about settings but i can tell you that David played bass also on this piece sometimes live. Basically its just slapback echo, long repeat, same volume. Id say about 600ms... but yeah im probably way off :P

Echorec 2, I believe. Dave was still using this model midway through his 1984 solo tour, when he decided to stop putting up with its mechanical quirks and switched to digital delay pedals. Rick had one of the Echorecs attached to his Farfisa keyboard rig for the longest time as well, there's a closeup picture of it in Nick's book Inside Out.

Dave and Roger both played the "One of These Days" bass part concurrently on the studio version, but Roger always played it live on his own. Unfortunately there is no quality footage of this available.
