Dearest Nisha, grumpy old gits can roll their eyes with the best of them ( unless they have a medical condition). And who's to say I am a grumpy old git? In real life I may be really a 13 year old schoolboy from Lancashire called Jimmy Clitheroe. You might really be Bubba from San Quentin and Dr Cheese might really be a male model from Chelsea. The Internet is a wonderful thing...we can be who we want to be.

I am a 17 year old girl from America - I always fancied that.

"susan" by the subhumans. the lyrics and mood of the song are just plain depressing.

and "holocaust" by Big Star.

Re: Sad songs say so much

Anything by Metallica makes me said because they suck so much.

But seriously, "Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. I know it's supposed to be an uplifting song but I always relate more to Gabriel's side.

Re: Sad songs say so much

Get thee hence from my thread Metallica do not 'suck' as you so succinctly put it so I admit St. Anger is a load of tosh, but albums like Master of Puppets Ride the lightning and And justice for all are classics.

Re: Sad songs say so much

I agree that their earlier work is gold, but they have since become mere jokes of themselves who destroyed my beloved Napster.

Re: Sad songs say so much

I don't care much for sad songs, particularly the Country and Western variety!
